Can you make money online with affiliate marketing?

Making money online with affiliate marketing is the probably the easiest way to start making money online. It does not require you to own your own product, or deal with the emails, refunds and all the other headaches that come with having your own product.
As you would most likely already know, Clickbank is a large well known affiliate market place, and many thousand affiliate marketers use this popular site to promote other peoples products. If you have not heard of Clickbank, you should check it for yourself.
The idea is to place the affiliate links or banners that you have chosen through this network on your own site, or alternatively, you can just promote the affiliate link. It is a better option to build a simple website and place the links on that.
The old days of just promoting the links on Google Adwords is slowly vanishing. I remember seven years ago, Adwords was full of Clickbank products being promoted. It was a lot easy to back then than it is today. Google has seemed to turn their nose up on straight Clickbank links in the Adwords Section. This makes it harder to get your promotions out there using this method.
An option to get around this is to build a site; it doesn't have to be too fancy. The idea is to use it to promote affiliate links. Once you have built a site, you can use this to advertise it on Adwords. While you are doing this, it would be wise to start building back links to your site and try to get it ranked.
The idea here is to use Adwords until you have a good ranking, so you don't have to wait around to start making money online. Yes, this will cost you in advertising, but it's a head start for you. As I said, once you get a good ranking, you can stop the Adwords and use the free search listing you will have. Or you can keep both if you are making a good income from the ads you placed.
You have to keep in mind that the price has gone up in Adwords; this is the reason why I don't bother with it any more. In saying that, I have sites doing well in the ranking department. So I don't need to worry about Adwords. I did use the above method in the beginning though to start making money online.
